Salary: £31,200 per annum
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (7:00am – 3:00pm)

Founded in 1994, Omega Windows is a well-established, family-run business based in Margate. We’re proud to be a trusted name in Kent, known for delivering high-quality home improvement solutions and a consistent, customer-first approach.
We’re now looking for a reliable and experienced Accounts Administrator / Company Secretary to manage our internal accounts function, help drive best practice, and support the day-to-day running of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records using Xero
- Raise sales invoices and process purchase bills
- Reconcile transactions and control accounts
- Prepare and process payroll, VAT returns, and CIS returns
- Set up and process supplier payments via online banking
- Credit control and managing customer payments
- Produce monthly profit & loss reports for review
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and our external accountant
- Oversee pensions and employee records
- File statutory returns (e.g., Annual Returns)
- Manage vehicle admin, tax, MOTs, and insurance renewals
- Support holiday scheduling and manage holiday records
- Maintain ISO/SMAS documentation (training provided)
- General office admin, post, and handling incoming emails
- Assist in booking sales/service enquiries and directing calls
- Minute general staff meetings and update office procedures
- Cover for service department admin during leave (training provided)
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Proven bookkeeping experience
- Strong working knowledge of Xero
- Experience with payroll, VAT, and CIS returns
- Excellent organisation, accuracy, and time management
- Confident communicator and team player
Desirable:
- Xero certification (or equivalent experience)
- Background in construction or home improvements
- Familiarity with ISO, QMS, or SMAS systems (training provided)
