Omega’s Lead Time Update

The Omega team would like to update our customers on the current situation regarding lead times for our double glazing products.
After returning to work from lockdown, our business has eased back to our full capacity in terms of staffing and production. During these uncertain times, we are keen to communicate with all of our customers to update them with the latest information.
As many of our customers may be aware, the double glazing industry as a whole is having issues with meeting the increased demand that built up over lockdown. Now that measures have eased, it has caused a higher demand for production. This not only affects the supply and installation of a product but the lead times to actually get the product.
This has led to increased lead times on our products. We recognise this is an inconvenience to our customers, however, it is an indirect result of the pandemic and out of our control. We have continued to seek alternative supply sources but found this is an industry-wide issue. Generally, we have more influence with long-standing relationships to encourage our suppliers where this is possible than we would with new suppliers that we do not have any relationship. New suppliers may be able to supply quicker but the quality and service may not be what we have learnt to expect. We will, however, continue to assess all avenues in the interests of our customers.
We will continue to update our customers with further updates as and when we have them. The whole team at Omega appreciates the understanding and knowledge of our customers that we are doing everything we can to keep inconvenience to our customers at a minimum and to satisfy our customers.
We are on track in the main but there are some specific orders affected more than others. We recommend that you check your sales order in the first instance to see the lead time quoted. We can assure you that we will be in touch as soon as we can to update you with an installation timing outline. Due to outside influences, our lead times have become volatile and subject to change and this can sometimes be at short notice. We apologise in advance if this affects you.
