Kentish Projects – Gladstone House, Whitstable

The team here at Omega worked first-hand on the Kentish Projects – Gladstone House site in Whitstable. This project was completed on July 1st 2020.

Gladstone house consists of 12 luxury apartments designed in a range of styles and sizes, situated in the heart of Whitstable town and a few minutes from the seafront. We installed a number of commercial glazing products by SAPA (also known as, Technical) for this project.

Our team were able to expertly install SAPA Elegance 52 curtain walling with a SAPA STII commercial door set and glazed SAPA Si AOV smoke vents that were installed to BS EN 12101-2 standards.

We completed this project with an incredible range of SAPA 75si French doors and TBT SAPA 75si window systems. The result was a stunning commercial property that our team are hugely proud of.

 

Dualframe Window System

The Dualframe window system that we used for the Gladstone house project perfectly complemented the property’s existing architecture. This system offers superior thermal performance with an innovative polyamide thermal barrier to comfortably exceed the requirements of the latest building regulations.

This window system has been designed to specifically comply with the ever-increasing complexity of Building Regulations, British Standards and other regulatory demands. It is for this reason that we are proud we could install this for our customer to ensure the safety of their future residents.

Elegance Curtain Walling

The Elegance 52 curtain walling we installed into this property comprises of a comprehensive curtain wall system that combines innovative technology and with the demands of a modern building and construction design.

This curtain walling system uses a contemporary structure with a width no larger than 52 mm. This results in strong yet ultra-slim sightlines for extended views that allow lots of natural light to enter the property.

The Elegance 52 curtain walling system also meets the highest standards in thermal insulation. It uses innovative insulation technology, that comprises of a façade system that ensures compliance with the latest energy-saving standards and initiatives. Perfect for those projects seeking to make a positive contribution towards a greener environment.

Commercial and French Doors

The commercial doors we used on this property are perfect for environments with high volumes of traffic. With such a large number of residents due to live in Gladstone House, we knew these doors would be an essential asset as part of our installation process.

Since its launch, the STII system has been recognised as an exceptional commercial door system and is fit for an extensive range of commercial applications. The door design features multi-point locking systems for enhanced security, dual colour options, and is suited to match other commercial curtain walling and window systems.

We also installed an excellent range of French doors into this property. This brilliant French door style combined exceptionally with the existing architecture of the building to add the perfect finishing touch for our installation.

Each of these doors boats incredible security features in line with Secured By Design standards. The police backed scheme that ensures the safety and security of glazing installations across the industry.
